Chloe and Lachlan’s beautiful wedding celebration

Chloe and Lachlan’s beautiful summer wedding was a day that truly meant so much to us. We’ve known Chloe for years, having met her on a photo shoot long before she met Lachlan. Over the years, she always mentioned that when the time came for her wedding, we'd be the first ones she called. So, when we got that call from Chloe after Lachlan proposed, we were absolutely over the moon! It felt so special to not only capture her wedding day but to witness the journey of someone we’ve known for so long.

Romantic Brisbane outdoor wedding photo session on private property

The couple chose to say their "I do" on their family’s private property in Toowoomba, which gave the ceremony such a personal and intimate feel. Before the ceremony, Chloe shared a quiet first look with her dad, an emotional moment that had everyone a little teary. Soon after, her bridesmaids saw her for the first time in her dress, and their reactions were pure joy. It was such a beautiful mix of happy tears and laughter before heading out the door.

Chloe, with the help of Sharon from All Perfectly Planned, styled the entire day beautifully. The ceremony and reception were a perfect reflection of their personalities — elegant yet relaxed, with so many thoughtful details. Watching Chloe and Lachlan exchange their vows, surrounded by their closest family and friends, was truly a heartwarming experience. It’s moments like these that remind me why I do what I do: capturing the real emotions and the connections that make each wedding unique.

After the ceremony, guests were treated to drinks and canapés on the lawn while we documented family portraits nearby. We built in some extra time for Chloe and Lachlan to relax and mingle with their guests which was one of their top priorities for the day before heading off for a short photo session together. It created such a nice flow to the afternoon, with space to soak it all in before the next part of the celebration unfolded.

From the stunning floral arrangements to the impeccable timing, everything was executed flawlessly, thanks to a team of amazing vendors. I’m always so humbled to be a part of a couple's biggest day, and Chloe and Lachlan’s wedding was no exception. It was filled with joy, laughter, and an overwhelming sense of love, and we’re so grateful to have been chosen to document these special memories.

Your guide to summer weddings in Brisbane!

Summer weddings in Brisbane bring warm days and beautiful evenings, making them a popular choice for couples ready to celebrate their love with vibrant energy. The extended daylight hours allow more time for photos and festivities, especially with sunsets happening between about 6:30 PM and 7:15 PM during the summer months. Planning your ceremony or portraits around this time means you can capture that soft, golden light that makes wedding and engagement photography truly magical.

Brisbane summer wedding photography

Since Brisbane summers can get quite warm, it’s important to plan ways to stay comfortable throughout the day. Here are a few tips that can help you and your guests beat the heat:

  • Schedule outdoor events later in the afternoon or early evening to avoid the harsh midday sun.

  • Choose lightweight, breathable fabrics for your wedding attire.

  • Provide shaded areas and plenty of refreshing drinks for guests.

  • Use cooling fans or portable misters to keep the air comfortable.

  • Encourage guests to wear sun-safe accessories like hats and sunglasses during outdoor moments.

One great way to keep things easy and comfortable on a hot summer day is to choose an all-in-one venue where your ceremony, photos, and reception are all in one place. This means no one has to worry about driving between locations in the heat, which can save time and keep the vibe relaxed. It’s also worth considering venues with good air conditioning — especially for indoor parts of your day — so everyone can cool off and enjoy themselves. And while it’s tempting to start the celebrations early with a few drinks, pacing the alcohol throughout the day helps keep everyone feeling their best well into the evening.

For engagement sessions and wedding portraits, early mornings and late afternoons offer the best natural light and cooler temperatures, which can make your photos feel fresh and natural. Incorporating local greenery or summer-inspired details can add a vibrant touch to your celebration and photos, giving your wedding a unique seasonal charm.

If you’re searching for a Brisbane wedding photographer with experience shooting summer weddings and engagement sessions, I’d love to connect. Together, we can create images that capture the warmth and joy of your special day, making memories you’ll cherish forever.

What to Wear for Your Engagement Session

Planning your engagement session and stuck on what to wear? Don’t worry — it’s easier than it sounds. Whether we’re heading to a beachside spot in Redcliffe, the Sunshine coast or the Gold Coast, the Brisbane Botanic Gardens, or a city laneway, the key is to feel like yourselves and wear something that lets you relax and have fun.

Here are a few tips to help you nail your outfits — no stress, just good vibes!

Choose Comfort First

You’ll be walking, hugging, sitting, and maybe even spinning during your engagement session — so comfort is key. Choose outfits you can move in easily without feeling restricted. Avoid anything too tight, itchy, or fussy that might distract you. Stick with breathable fabrics that feel good on your skin and let you move naturally. And don’t forget your feet — wear shoes you can walk in without having to think twice.

Coordinate, Don’t Match

You’re not twins, so you don’t need to dress like it. The goal is to look cohesive, not identical. Choose two or three colours that work well together, and play with textures like denim, linen, or knits to create visual interest. Try to avoid clashing prints or anything too bold that might compete with each other. And keep both of your outfits at a similar level of dressiness so neither of you feels overdressed or underdressed next to the other.

Dress for the Location

Your photoshoot location significantly influences how your outfit appears on camera, so let the setting inspire your wardrobe choices. For beach photoshoots along the Sunshine Coast, Redcliffe, Gold Coast, Byron Bay or Coffs Harbour, flowy outfits work beautifully, capturing the coastal breeze and adding a sense of movement. In nature or bushland settings around Redcliffe, Brisbane, or the hinterlands, earthy tones like olive, rust, and beige blend seamlessly with the natural environment. If you're planning a city or urban photoshoot in Brisbane city, opt for a smart-casual look with clean lines and modern details to complement the structured backdrop. Whatever you wear, avoid colours that blend into your surroundings—we want you to stand out, not disappear!

Keep It Timeless

Trends are fun, but timeless always wins when it comes to photos you’ll look back on for years. Skip logos, bold graphics, or anything too trend-driven that could feel outdated later. Soft tones, muted colours, and light layering add depth without overwhelming your look. Most importantly, wear something that actually feels like you — not just something you think you should wear.

Be Yourselves

This is the most important part — just be you. Choose clothes that reflect your personality and style, whether that’s relaxed, bold, quirky, or minimal. Add those personal touches you love, like your favourite hat, boots, or jacket. Don’t stress about being “perfect” — the best photos are always the ones that feel real and true to who you are. And if you’re ever unsure, just send us a message with your outfit options — We are always happy to help!

Ready to start planning your engagement session? Whether you're dreaming of a romantic beachside shoot in Redcliffe, the Gold Coast or the Sunshine Coast a sunset stroll through Brisbane City, or a golden hour adventure in the hinterland, we’re here to make the entire experience fun, relaxed, and uniquely you.

As an experienced engagement photographer in Brisbane, We work with couples all across South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales, including Brisbane Redcliffe, Coffs Harbour, Gold Coast, Byron Bay, and the Sunshine Coast. From helping you choose outfits that photograph beautifully to recommending stunning couples photoshoot locations, We’ll guide you every step of the way.

Let’s lock in a date, start planning the details, and create engagement photos that reflect your relationship — real, joyful, and effortlessly beautiful.

Bride’s First Look with Parents & Bridesmaids: Tips for a Beautiful Moment

Hey there, soon-to-be-married couples! Let’s talk about one of those moments packed with all the feels — the bride’s first look. As your wedding photographer, I can tell you this part of the day is often just as emotional and beautiful as the first look with your partner. And yes, it makes for some of the best photos, too!

This moment lets you share your bridal glow with the people who mean the most to you before the big “I do.” It’s a chance to soak in their reactions, share hugs, tears, and laughter without the pressure of the ceremony crowd. Plus, it can calm some nerves and get the day rolling on a joyful note.

Here are a few tips to keep this moment smooth and memorable:

  • Pick a quiet spot — Choose a cozy, private place where you won’t feel rushed or watched. It helps everyone feel relaxed and really present.

  • Time it right — Plan this before the ceremony but after you’re fully dressed and ready. That way, you’re fresh and glowing, and there’s plenty of time for photos without rushing.

  • Keep it real — Encourage everyone to be themselves — whether that’s happy tears, big hugs, or silly jokes. Authentic moments make the best pictures.

  • Involve everyone — If your bridesmaids or parents are a bit shy, gently invite them to share a special moment with you — a group hug, a quick toast with champagne, or just a sweet compliment.

  • Trust your photographer — Let your photographer guide you through this. We know how to capture those candid, raw emotions that will make you smile every time you look back.

Seeing parents’ faces light up and bridesmaids get a little teary is one of the highlights of the day. These moments tell your story beyond the ceremony — showing the love, the friendships, and the family bonds that support you as you start this new chapter. So if you’re thinking about including a first look with your parents and bridesmaids, go for it! It’s a small part of the day that leaves a huge emotional footprint.

Wedding Day Run Sheet

As Brisbane Wedding Photographers, we often get asked about timing for your wedding day.

We love to be involved in the planning process and help with timing on the day as much as possible.

Here are a few tips that may help when it comes to booking your wedding photographer and choosing what time you would like them to start.

This is a rough idea of a timeline for a wedding day from a photographers perspective, based on a 6pm Sunset. (This would be our ideal timeline based on an ‘all in one’ venue - remember to take extra time into account if there is travel time required in-between)

11.45 - 12.40pm Groom Prep (If you have 2 photographers, bride and groom prep can be done at the same time by having one photographer with each of you)
12.45- 2.15pm - Bride Prep
2.30pm Photographer arrive at Ceremony
3-3.30pm Ceremony
3.30 - 4pm Congratulations
4 - 4.30pm Family Photos
4.30 - 6.15 Location Photoshoot
6.15 Photographer arrive to Reception
6.25 Guests Enter Reception
6.35 Bridal Party Entrance
7pm Main meals (Check with your venue on how much time they need to serve and clear tables)
7.30pm Speeches/ Cake Cutting
8.30pm First Dance

Our Advice:

Groom prep: We recommend having your photographer for about 45min to 1 hour. If you have a large bridal party or lots of people getting ready together then extra time may be required.

During this time we take some photos of the grooms details such as his tie, cufflinks, shoes, watch, rings and anything else that he has that is special for your wedding day.

After we do a few details, we will ask the boys to get dressed and as they do, we capture them putting their ties, vests, cufflinks, jackets on. Followed by a few photos with the groom and groomsmen and then a couple of photos with mum and dad if they are there too.

We have a fairly natural approach to this part of the day. We like to capture things as they happen and capturing the exciting and build up to what is about to happen.

Bride prep: We recommend having your photographer with you for about 1.5 - 2 hours.

We like to arrive just before your hair and make up is due to finish and this is so we can capture some photos of your hair and make up being completed. While you’re hair and make up is getting finished off, this is a great time for us to capture the Brides details such as your flowers, shoes, jewelry, perfume etc.

Before the bridesmaids start getting dressed, we love to get some fun and natural photos of you and your bride tribe altogether - even having a champagne or just relaxing a little bit before getting dressed.

We will ask the bridesmaids to get dressed first then they can help the bride get ready. We also suggest that your mum and dad are dressed by this time too if you would like them in some photos or if you would like them to help you get ready.

We capture those final getting ready moments, mum or your bridesmaids doing up the back of your dress, putting on jewelry and shoes etc.

If your dad or even your mum or bridesmaids haven’t seen your dress yet, doing a first look/ dress reveal with dad can be really nice too.

Your photographer will then take some formal photos once everyone is dressed and then spend a bit of time getting some beautiful portraits of the bride before she leaves.

Your Ceremony: It’s important that your photographer arrives before the bride. We like to plan to arrive about 30min before your ceremony starts. (If you have a videographer, they may need to arrive about 45min beforehand to set up)

This gives us time to take some photos of your ceremony all set up, guests arriving and the boys waiting. It also gives us a chance to speak with your celebrant if they have any special requests or if they need to let us know about anything specific.

After your ceremony, your guests will want to congratulate you so we advise to allow around about 20-30 mins for your guests to give you a hug and say hello and then about another 30 mins for group and family photos.

Location Photoshoot: Having between 1 hour to 1.5 hours for your photoshoot is ideal.

If you have a large bridal party, then having longer is great as it allows your photographer to get a range of photos with everyone. If you have a photoshoot with just the two of you then having around 1 hour on location is great.

Remember to allow for any travel time in between locations

Time saving tips:

  • If you don’t want to stay away from guests for too long, you could consider just having a photoshoot with the two of you and leave the bridal party to mingle with guests.

  • You may like to spend 30min or so having canapes with your guests before heading to photoshoot (Just take this time into consideration)

  • You may like your bridal party to just stay for photos for 15min and then they can join your guests while your photographer focuses on some couple photos. (This can speed up your photography session as there are less people)

Reception: Allow for your photographer to be inside reception about 15-20 min before guests enter to capture some photos of the room all beautifully set up. (After all there is a chance you may not get to see it without people in the room), this also allows for your photographer to be set up and ready for the bridal party entrance.

Every reception runs a bit differently and has different timings for your formalities (Cake cutting speeches and first dance). If you would like a full day coverage, our recommendation is to have your photographer finish up about 30 -45min after your first dance. This allows them to capture all your formalities along with a few fun photos of everyone on the dance floor.

Of course, if you are doing a sparkler exit or a farewell then having your photographer stay right until the end is a great way to truly capture all the moments of the reception too.

If you have any questions on planning your wedding day or would like a hand with working out run times for your wedding day, feel free to get in touch with us. We have attended over 600 weddings and are always happy to lend a hand in working out your wedding day run sheet.

We also have wedding day run sheets that we give to all our couples to help your day run smoothly.

These times above are just a guideline, every wedding day is a bit different and the types of photos that you would like may also differ. Most importantly, speak with your photographer and videographer before locking in your ceremony and reception timeline just to make sure you have allowed enough time to capture the photos that are most important to you.

Jumping Castle makes for a fun wedding day!

Since the unmentionable happened in 2020 Joel and Rebecca decided that no matter what, they were getting married! Dancing restrictions came into place so Joel and Rebecca decided to hire a jumping castle as they didn’t want to miss out any of the fun given a dance floor wasn’t allowed.

The jumping castle was set up for the wedding ceremony. Being a white jumping castle, it was very wedding appropriate and made for a great backdrop:

Wedding Day Jumping Castle

Both Rebecca and Joel arrived to the ceremony in Combi vans. The ceremony was officiated by Brisbane wedding celebrant Natasha Hill and straight after the ceremony even the bride and groom had a jump on the jumping castle with a few guests!

Bella Brides did an amazing job with Rebecca’s hair and makeup, she looked amazing all day and night! (Even with jumping on the jumping castle, her hair was perfect!)

While we went offsite for a few photos, guests stayed to enjoy the music supplied by Brisbane’ DJ and MC DJ BRAD.

Congratulations Joel and Rebecca on a beautiful wedding day. It was so much fun :)

The Calile Hotel is located in Brisbane City with the most stunning city backdrop. The Calile Hotel features the most beautiful rooftop with a unique view over the city. It makes for a beautiful backdrop.

The hotel is unlike any other Brisbane hotel. There is a ‘home away from home’ feeling and looks like a place from a magazine. But I will stop talking/writing and let the photos do the talking.

Nicole and Tony had a small wedding with their closest family and friends. The ceremony was officiated by Brisbane wedding celebrant Natasha Hill.

Ocean View Estates Sunrise Breakfast Wedding

When we first met with Jeremiah and Danielle and they told us it was a 4 o’clock start, we had to double check that they were referring to AM. It was an early start, but everything about the day was just perfect.

They had a winter wedding at Oceanview estates which is located at Mt Mee.

Their wedding was an absolute perfect winter morning. We started prep around 4am while it was still dark. Just as it started to get light, we made our way to the ceremony to set up.

Danielle walked down the aisle just as the sun was coming through the mountains.

The ceremony was officiated by Pastor Karolina Gunsser from Citipointe Church

Check out the video:

After they became husband and wife, the first thing they did was have Bacon and Eggs for their wedding breakfast - doesn’t get much better then that :)

The morning was a really relaxed and fun sunrise wedding. Ocean View Estate put on a beautiful hot breakfast with Tea and Coffee for everyone. We heard speeches from the Maid of Honour and Best Man and everyone spent the time just chatting and mingling.

After it was all finished, we headed out for a short photoshoot with the newlyweds.

Congratulations Jeremiah and Danielle on your wedding day!

KFC Wedding - First KFC Wedding in the world

The leap year saw something very exciting for Everlast Studios! We were hired by KFC to capture the first KFC Wedding in the world!

Here is the video the Today Show shared:

It was such a privilege to be asked by KFC to capture this wedding for them. Being KFC, we supplied them with all the photos and RAW footage for them to edit. I have to say though, it is so exciting seeing our photos and video on The Today show, Channel Seven news, news.com.au and many other media outlets.

This is straight from the article from News.com.au:
Your wedding day is one that you’re supposed to remember for the rest of your life, but one Queensland couple’s memories will be forever tinged with greasy fried chicken and questionable gravy.

In a world-first, chicken-obsessed Kate and Harrison Cann from Toowoomba have taken the plunge and are the first couple to tie the knot through KFC’s official wedding service.

At the finger-lickin’ event, 150 guests descended on the family property in Highfields to witness the couple say “I do” as the KFC-themed celebrant wedded them in holy matrimony

Australia's first KFC Wedding
KFC Wedding Cake
KFC Wedding Dance Floor

If you love your KFC, you should check out how to get KFC to cater your wedding too!

The guests loved it, the food was amazing (of course!) and everyone got involved and had such an awesome time celebranting.

It was a very unique wedding and we were so excited to be part of something so special, fun and unique!

Wedding's at Tiffany's, Maleny

Weddings at Tiffany’s in Maleny is a stunning venue with so many beautiful photography options. From the minute your guests arrive, they are greeted with the most stunning views across the mountains. The view from Tiffany’s is spectacular and really is one of a kind.

We love this image from Nick and Laura’s wedding day where their grandma arrived a little bit early and just sat in the chapel admiring the stunning view for a few mintues before the other guests made their way in.

Weddings at Tiffany's view inside chapel

There are lots of great accommodation places close by to Tiffany’s so the girls and guys can get ready near by each other but yet far enough apart to not see each other on the morning of the wedding.

Tiffany’s have it all for guests. There is parking available just over the road. The whole team are so attentive on the wedding day with everything, from making sure your guests find a seat, to organising the arrival of the groom.

At Tiffany’s, the groom also gets to walk down the aisle which is a really special moment for the boys. When the bride arrives, the staff make sure noone sees so when the chapel doors open - it is an absolute breath taking moment to see the bride for the first time.

There are many amazing celebrants that will work with Tiffany’s. Tiffany’s don’t allow the use of microphones inside the chapel as the acoustics in the chapel provide a bit of an echo to make sure everyone can hear. If you are having a videographer, it’s great to find someone who has worked at Tiffany’s before as their is a bit of a trick to getting the audio correct if filming your ceremony.

When it comes to some photos after the ceremony with just the two of you and your bridal party photoshoot, you are spoiled for choice around Maleny. There is the beautiful One Tree Hill only 1 min up the road, Agapanthus Farm is a beautiful location with lots of tall trees, there is also Mary Cairn cross park which is where we went with Nick and Laura. Check out some of their photos below.

Something fantastic about Wedding photos at Tiffany’s is that if you would rather stay with your guests, there are a few amazing spots all on site including inside the chapel as the sun is setting, their beautiful love swing and just around the garden. So there are great opportunities if you would rather stay longer with your guests and have a mini photoshoot on the property of Tiffany’s. So many choices!

Weddings at Tiffany’s have the most beautiful reception room. There are many ways to set up the room from long tables to round tables and you can choose what suits you and the number of guests you have.

The service is always great, the food is just AMAZING! We can’t fault it.

We love capturing wedding receptions and all the special moments such as your speeches, your cake cutting, your first dance and lots of general mingling.

Ocean View Wedding Photography and Videography

Ocean View Estates is a winery based on the north side of Brisbane in the picturesque suburb of Mt Mee.

It is a gorgeous spot for a wedding ceremony and wedding reception but also a great day out where you can taste the food in the restaurant, experience the wines and walk around the stunning winery. They have accommodation on site and a really relaxing place to stay for a weekend not too far from Brisbane.

For your wedding day, it’s great having accommodation on site where you and your partner can get ready and even some places for guests to stay who don’t live near by.

Sunset wedding photos at Ocean View Estate, Mt Mee

This is a small collection of the wedding photos from Dan and Lani’s wedding day. They had an August wedding day. They got ready in the rooms at the winery and stayed there the night before and the night after the wedding. Their ceremony was under the gazebo near the lake (Which is almost shaped like a love heart from the air).

As Brisbane wedding photographers, we love venue’s that have lots of options for some bride and groom photos and bridal party photos after the ceremony and Ocean View Estates has lots of great spots all within a small area so there isn’t too much walking and it means you can spend more time with your guests on your wedding day.

Lani and Dan left this review for us on google:
”Everlast Studios were just amazing before, during and after the wedding. They are both such lovely people and extremely talented photographers. It was by chance that we came across them, but I am so glad it happened. We absolutely love our photos and the ceremony video. I would definitely recommend Everlast Studios to anyone!!!”

If you have a small team, we understand that it may be easier for us to come to you. All we need is a space and access to power to take your professional headshot. We bring our own backdrop, lighting and any gear we need. We recommend this option if you have a team of 5 of more people.

We can also work with local businesses in photographing your team as they are ready. Just give them our phone number and we can have your team come to us when it suits them. You don’t need to come altogether.

We also have a redcliffe based hair and make up artist who works with us and can be available if you would like professional hair and make up.

We live in a world where people like to connect with each other. By having a professional lifestyle or portrait session, we provide professional headshot images that bring out who you are and what you do keeping your images professional and real.

Our team works with you to provide a small collection of professional images.

We are happy to come to your workspace, or would love to invite you to our Redcliffe photography studio

Wedding Day Bridal Perfume

Brisbane wedding photography of wedding day bridal perfumes

As a Brisbane wedding photographer we get to see lots of different perfumes that our couples choose to wear on their wedding day.
Often there is a story behind choosing your perfume for the big day. Here are a few hints and tips that may help you choose your wedding day perfume too:
- A gift from your partner
- A gift from your mum, dad or grandma, grandad
- A perfume that you and your partner chose together and instantly loved the scent
- The perfume you wore on your first date, or when you got engaged
- Gift each other with a perfume on the morning of your wedding

Smell has a way of bringing back memories and in years to come, when you smell the perfume you will think back to your wedding day, so it’s important to choose one that is a bit different or special to what you may wear every day.

Fun Brisbane Wedding Ceremony Video

Your Wedding Ceremony is the most important part of your wedding day so make sure you talk to your celebrant about exactly what you want included in your ceremony. Once your wedding ceremony finishes, it’s time to celebrate!
As Brisbane Wedding Videographers, we capture your wedding ceremony in full from when the Bride walks down the aisle to when you walk back down the aisle married.

One of our favourite parts of the wedding day, is the moment the ceremony finishes and you walk down the aisle and it clicks that you are now a husband and wife :)

We love to video all these moments on your wedding day including your family friends congratulating you. It’s really important to allow this time after the ceremony and not rush off right away for your wedding photos.

Here is a short video we put together from many Brisbane Wedding’s we have captured on video with so many couples having fun as they exit their wedding ceremony.
